The Institute's mission is to unite and engage filmmakers, on a non-partisan basis and to stimulate and nurture their interest in movement and leadership. The Institute strives to promote greater understanding and cooperation between the real world and story-tellers. The IMD places particular emphasis on the close connection between theory, modeling and experimentation using the most advanced technologies.
